2011 - A Brand New Year

Hello Again! Well its been way too long since I wrote so I decided to start again since a brand new year has started. I have been extremely busy with work, home and finishing projects before I start school again. I have missed writing my blog and posting new pictures for everyone to see so lets start out a brand new year full of hopes and dreams, right now! I will have lots of updates coming up since I just went back home to visit friends and family so pictures are to come as well. Bob, if you're reading this..know that I have missed you and would love to come visit you at the beach again soon! I start a full load of classes Jan 19th and with perseverance, I can reach my goal to graduate by the end of summer 2011!! I will complete my Associates of Science degree with an emphasis in Environmental Science. Although I love doing multiple things, I hope to have a career that has to do with nature and the outdoors! ;) Until next post...."Smile at a stranger today, it may be the only sunshine he sees all week". -jd

The Season of Madness

Well its been a really long time since my last posting! I fell out of touch with my blog. Right now season has hit so I'm very busy working 2 jobs but doing well considering the madness! I have a wonderful man in my life who has been very patient with my schedule and I just adore him completely! Travis and I have been together over 7 months and he is such a wonderful man! I finally gave up on the idea of a great man and loving partner all rolled up into one until I met him ;) Life is good...real good! My family adores him and vice versa!! His family is great and we all get along...how about that?! Ok so back to the daily grind for now...will write more later. Life in the Big "D"!!

I have been super busy with work and school lately that I havent had a chance to write!! My life in Key West was so simple because I lived on a 2x4 island! hahaha Now that I've been back in Dallas I feel like I never left because I'm always so busy!! I've been working 45-55 hours at work plus trying to stay afloat with homework and exams. Yikes! I'm so excited because I'm off work for the next 3 days in a row!!! Woo Hoo!! I get to go visit my friend and her new twin babies! There's nothing like a baby's love...unconditional ;) So I quit my bartending job back in March to work full time at the golf course...I'm so much happier! I was going to work part time there, maybe one night a week but the owners were mad that I didn't wanna stay there full time so they took my last 3 shifts away. Oh well...bigger and better things to come!

Okay, enough for now. Bob, when you read this, just know I miss you very much and I cannot wait to visit you and the beach again! I hope you're doing well darlin! xoxo Janie

Ok so I know its been a long time since I've written...again! My life is back to the hectic Dallas lifestyle it used to be! LOL I've been working both jobs lately and going to school so thats why my blog is neglected!! hahaha My birthday was March 9th...the BIG 3~6!! YIKES!!! I still look younger though so thats gotta count for somethin'!!! hehehe It was a great day even though I had to work on the golf course...I got a great workout in and then had a nice dinner =) We went to Blue Fish in Addison and had the wonderful wonton berry tower dessert with cinnamon ice cream..yummy!!! Here are a few recent pictures. I will make an effort to write more so everyone can keep up with Janie Jane!! The saga continues....stay strong and have Faith, in all things!!

Well its been awhile since I've updated this so I wanted to take a moment to write ;)

I've been super busy lately with school and working two jobs! I'm bartending at a bar and grill along with working on the golf course at the Four Seasons Resort and Club. I really like both jobs because of the people I work with ;) School can be overwhelming but I love learning and getting closer to my goal and degree in Environmental Science ;) Here are a few pictures from Christmas with the Family...more to come soon!!

Ok so time got away from me again!! hahaha A lot has happened since I last wrote. During my trip up North I made some decisions about my life and am very happy about them ;) I moved back to Texas!! My family was very happy about that as well! It was a long drive back but I made it back December 15th. I drove from Key West to Miami and stayed the night with one of my best friends Stacie. The next day I drove to Daytona Beach and spent a few days with Bob and then I drove from Daytona Beach to North Dallas in one day!! That was a 25 hour day since I crossed over time zones...it took me 16 1/2 hours! What a long day..I was so tired and couldn't wait to get home to surprise my Mom..it was awesome! She was so happy and caught by surprise..it made the long trip so worth it! ;) Here is the link for the vacation pictures:

Ok so I started my 2 week vacation back on the 20th of November...what a trip! Ok, so Maria and I have a new favorite restaurant...The Cafe !! I've been on a half vegetarian/half chicken mode lately. My body is craving to eat healthy so I listen! ;)

We always have a great time there because they have our favorite table in the back so we can laugh and act silly if we want to! hahaha Its Indian style..sheer beaded panels from the ceiling down to the floor, a beautiful old style lamp from the ceiling, a small table so you can sit indian style and a bunch of pillows! How cool is that?!? We've been hooked on the Italian Chocolate Budino cake but tonight we had the Vegan Chocolate Walnut Cake...yum-yum!!! (as you can see from the pictures!) Holly came with us tonight so we took a bunch of silly pics =) Gotta love eating dinner with great company and vibrant energy! Until next time...Life is good!

Well...my trip was awesome!! I even came back with a parting gift...a black, blue n purple chin!! hahahaha Emma and I were having a great time until we decided to jump rope together at the same time, well actually she jumped faster and higher than me, so WHAM!!! Her head met my chin and there you have it...a great parting gift! Bless her heart, she kissed it and made it all better! ;) There are entirely too many pictures to post so I will add a link to shutterfly very soon so you'all can see what fun I had =) Check out the instant lump after 5minutes, then the color change and then the 3 day progression! You should've seen it at 6 days...it was purple, reddish and yellow and spreading down my neck and up my chin! LOL Look for another post soon!

I'm outta this place!!!!!!!! Well, at least for a week! My resort is closing for maintenance so I'm headed to Michigan to see my best friend Annabelle ;) I miss her so much and we

Ok so I'm not so sure I'm going to leave. I will decide by Sunday morning...evacuating is such a pain in the butt!! I'm praying for a small miracle to move the hurricane high or low enough to spare us a major surge. The surge is the worse part of the after effects..Yikes! Okay, so Mel-Mel made a bet with me and won so we went to dinner at Ambrosia's again, my treat of course...I just love that place!! Ok..this is the part I DON'T miss about Key West...HURRICANE SEASON! I'm so tired of the storms already...I can't make any money when there aren't any tourists here!! I'm hanging around for now but you can bet my butt will be leaving if IKE heads this way and is a category 3 or more! I may go to Miami and stay but the Florida Keys traffic getting there might make it miserable to drive there so it has to be bad enough for me to leave. I'll keep you updated! Pray for us!! ;)

The Keys, The Job and Being Thankful

Hey Everybody...sorry I haven't written in awhile. I don't have any new pictures but will soon ;) Its been so hot here in the Keys lately! I'm still adjusting to the humidity. Things are still going well however, the job is still progressing. They have changed my position a few times within the marketing department and ask me to "hang tight" for a few more weeks because they're in the process of changing several things. They tell me there's an exciting new position for me but cannot go into details yet. Hurry up and wait!!!! HAHA Lately I've been learning to have more patience with things. Life happens in God's timing, not our timing!!! Learning through pain has been tough but has made me stronger because I've realized how much I have in my life to be thankful for, EVERY day. Life can be so rewarding if we just open our eyes to see the many blessings we all have, even with our struggles.

I live a pretty simple life down here...if I'm not exercising or working, I'm home ;) Although I visit Mel-Mel a few nights a week...she's one of my best friends here! My other one Tishana is 2 1/2 hours away!!! And Stacie, another great friend, is 3 hours away. Stace just had her beautiful baby boy! I got to spend a few days with him and get baby love ;) Okay, okay...I'm off for now. Everyone take care and look for pictures soon!!!

I went to Daytona Beach for July 4th weekend and had a great time! The beach there is so beautiful!! Tishana and I spent the days at the beach and then spent the evenings with Bob grilling out great food ;) I only wish Daytona was a lot closer to Key West because I'd be there

New Job

Okay so real estate is not for me!! I've decided to go to the Marketing Department instead...I get to work with people and make good money as well and its easier than the real estate! haha

I'm heading back to Daytona Beach to spend July 4th weekend with Bob..I'm so excited! ;) The storms are starting to brew here in the Keys...gotta love hurricane season! I'm still bike riding and walking the beach a lot...plus weight training at the gym. My tan is steady! LOL Anyway, I went out a few weeks ago with Tishana for the first time in a very long time and it was awesome because we laughed sooo much, like old times from back in the day! Real Estate School

Hello again!! I know, I know...its been a few weeks since I've posted. I've been busy..hahaha ;)
So I've been promoted to Owner Referral Specialist!! Woo Hoo!!! I have to be licensed in Real Estate before starting the position but it has great ptoential to make great money!! I start the class next week...6 days straight and then the exam! But thats only the course...I still have to go to Miami for finger printing clearance (you know, to make sure I'm not a criminal!! LOL) and then I can take the state exam..but I'm gonna pass the FIRST time!!! ;) I will keep you posted as things progress...hopefully I can start the position by July 1st!! No new pictures for now but I promise I will get some real soon ;) Until next time....JJ

The Job

Well...my first week is over and it went well but training can be pretty boring! The Director of Sales & Marketing has already chosen me for another position too! I'm waiting for a meeting with the Eastern Sales Director (big-wig!!) to finalize the details but I'm ready! I will be the Owner Referral Specialist (basically a closer) for new sales and makin a lot more money! woo hoo baby!!!! Anyway...the weather has been so beautiful here lately (but hot!) so I've enjoyed it ;) My friends and I went to dinner at Ambrosia's (sushi bar) last night, which also happens to be my fave restaurant here and I dont even eat sushi! Oh but I love the Tempura!! We took a few pics so check'em out! Be back soon...probably after the full moon Monday! hahaha

Well...I'm lovin the bikerides!! I'm pretty tan right now ;) here is a picture that was taken today so you can see it! hehehe I landed a job yesterday! It was the first and only job I applied for in Key West because I knew it was meant for me ;) I'm the Contract Adminstrator for the Sales & Marketing Division of the Hyatt Vacation Club! Yes everybody..that means I can hook you up with my discount to stay at any of the vacation clubs around the world! (or at least in the U.S.) These 2 bedroom/2 bath condo timeshares are beautiful!! I'm very excited to start with this company..there is great growth potential and excellent benefits & perks! I'm building a nice little life here in Key West so I'm staying put for awhile...even bought a year membership at the gym today! Well...here I am again in Key West although this time I'm staying!! I decided the simplicity of the island would be good for me right now compared to the fast paced crazy life of Miami! I'm back!!!!! 6 days in Key West and loads of fun! Ran into some old friends, ran the beach every day, ate ice cream and went parasailing! Oh did I mention I ate plenty of food thanks to my Segunda Madre Belinda and her wonderful daughter Michelle (like a sister to me) who cook every day!! Time to get back n the gym! Okay...time for a few pics. Parasailing was awesome! Maria and I had such a great time!! It was her first time so I got to introduce her to the ocean 300 miles in the air! woohoo!!! Life goes on, as always...yes tomorrow is another day but its already looking the same as today so maybe Wednesday will be different? Hard to tell with Me! hahaha I'm gonna be venturing out in the next few days to take some pictures...I know I haven't posted any for Miami yet but give me time and I will! I promise!! ;) I'm taking advantage of my gym being 7.5 miles away...I plan on going 5 days a week! I'm walking and running almost every day..feels great but I'm so sore all over from the weigh lifting mixed in with the running! No pain, no gain right?? Tomorrow is job hunting day...got a few prospects but as you know these things take time. I'm workin on my Florida tan, gradually of course, as I found out the other day how much more intense the sun is here compared to Texas! I will definitely post pictures from the 2 beaches I plan on visiting here, Miami Beach and Fort Lauderdale ;) Until next time...

I finally made it to Stacie's house, 21 hours of driving with stops along the way (Daytona Beach being the long stop!). Its been beautiful here! The sun is shining, the temperature is warm and there's been no rain! YET...but I saw enough on the way down here! I'm venturing out already and finding my way around but this place can be confusing because everything is numbers down here instead of names! Luckily I have a few great navigators here ;) Today I'm off to find my gym and then hit the pool for the first time. I'm excited to get started! My visit here with Bob has been awesome. He is a wonderful host, a great friend, and most importantly..family ;) Bob drove me to the beach every day so I could get my 2 mile run in and my fill of the ocean for the day! Its so beautiful here!! He took me to the farmers market for fruits & veggies, cooked for me, drove me around, put up with my finicky self and smiled every day!! Wow...after a long 17 hour drive, I was happy to see my exit for Daytona Beach! My actual arrival was Saturday, April 5th, 2008. I went to the beach Sunday, ran 2 miles and then watched the ocean while my thoughts wandered. What a beautiful place...I'm so blessed to be here ;) My journey begins with many many blessings. I look forward to many moments of happiness, sadness, frustration and Love!! Life is great!!
